ICL

ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens)

ICL, or Implantable Collamer Lens, is an advanced vision correction solution designed to treat refractive vision problems such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.

Unlike glasses or contact lenses, ICL is a surgically implanted, biocompatible lens positioned behind the iris and in front of the eye’s natural lens. This placement allows the ICL to work in harmony with the eye’s natural focusing system, providing clear and natural vision correction.

Why Choose ICL?

High-Quality Vision Correction

Delivers sharp, clear vision comparable to other leading refractive procedures

Preserves Natural Cornea

No corneal tissue removal — ideal for patients with thin corneas

Biocompatible Material

Made from Collamer, a material designed to be well-tolerated by the eye

Stable & Predictable Results

Provides long-term, consistent visual outcomes

Procedure Duration

ICL surgery is a minimally invasive keyhole procedure, similar in approach to cataract surgery.

The procedure usually takes about 10–20 minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. It is carried out as a daycase procedure, allowing patients to return home on the same day.

During the surgery, the Collamer lens is folded, inserted through a small incision, and gently unfolds into position behind the iris.

Recovery & Aftercare

ICL eye surgery typically requires no extended downtime.
Most patients are able to go home shortly after the procedure and resume daily activities progressively.

Following your eye specialist’s post-operative instructions is essential to support healing and achieve optimal results.

Same-Day Discharge

Return home on the same day of treatment

Quick Recovery

Minimal interruption to daily routines

Post-Operative Monitoring

Scheduled follow-ups to ensure recovery progress
